Sign in with Lobstack, and $5 to start

From 0.7.0 a new install opens on one button. Your bots then run on the Lobstack API, and your first sign-in adds $5 of credit.

A new install of the app opens on Sign in with Lobstack. Press it and your browser opens lobstack.ai. Check that the six-character code matches the one in the app, then connect. The app is signed in, and your bots run on the Lobstack API, with a receipt for every call.

Your first sign-in adds $5 of credit for 30 days, used after the Free plan's monthly allowance. Every call shows up in Console under Usage, and the key shows up under API Keys named after your computer. You can revoke it there.

Why it is safe to click

  • Only a fingerprint of a secret the app keeps goes into the link, so a link in your browser history is not enough to collect the key.
  • The matching code protects against a link someone else sent you. If the codes differ, stop.
  • The key is created when the app collects it, and handed over once.

Nothing changes if you run on Copilot

An install that was already running keeps its engine. GitHub Copilot and your own provider key are still there, and neither needs a Lobstack account.

The same release added Home, a Library of everything your bots have written, a Changes view that opens a coding bot's pull request, and charts in Word and PDF documents.
