Break it before everyone else does.
The guild tests every Lobstack release. Pick a mission, tell us what happened, and earn Lobstack credit for every confirmed bug.
Paid in Lobstack credit, for every confirmed find.
Added to your account. It never expires and spends like a top-up.
Eight missions, about 65 minutes in all.
Do the steps, compare what happens with the expected result, and report either way.
01Install and Log In5 min
- Download the app from lobstack.ai/download and install it.
- Open it and choose the Lobstack option to Log In. Check the six-character code in the browser matches the app, then press Connect.
- Open lobstack.ai/dashboard and go to Settings › Billing.
ExpectedThe app says it is connected within a few seconds, and Billing shows $5 of credit on a new account.
02Give an agent its first job5 min
- Open Triage and ask it to write a one-page brief on any topic, as a document you can share.
- Watch the run card while it works.
- Open the finished document from the thread.
ExpectedA finished document, with a receipt on the run card saying which model answered and what it cost.
03Make an agent ask first10 min
- Add a folder connector pointing at a test folder (not one you care about).
- Ask an agent to create a file in it, then to change that file.
- Deny the first request. Approve the second.
ExpectedEach change waits for you and shows exactly what it will do. Deny means nothing changed; Approve does only what the card showed.
04Connect a tool you use10 min
- Add a connector that connects through your own account, such as GitHub, Linear or Notion.
- Ask an agent to read something from it, then to change something small.
ExpectedYou grant access on the service's own page. Reading runs without asking; the change waits for your approval.
05Send an agent to the web10 min
- Ask an agent to research a question that needs three or more sources.
- Then ask it to fill in a search box on a site and read the result.
ExpectedSearching and reading run on their own. Typing or clicking on a site waits for your yes.
06Turn a run into a routine10 min
- Finish a run you would want every morning, such as a news summary.
- Press Save as routine at the top of its thread, set it for a few minutes from now, and leave the app open.
ExpectedIt runs at that time, with only the tools the original run used.
07Approve from your phone10 min
- Open Settings › Phone Approvals and pair your phone.
- Start a run that will ask for approval, walk away from the computer, and answer on the phone.
ExpectedThe approval card shows up on the phone, and your answer reaches the run on the computer.
08Take an update5 min
- Open Settings › About & Updates and press Check for updates.
- If one is offered, install it and reopen the app.
ExpectedThe new version installs and opens with your agents, threads and connectors as they were.
Five things in every report.
In the app, press Send report on the error. It attaches the details we need. Then post in the guild’s #bug-reports with these five.
Every report carries
- What you did. The steps, in order, so we can do them too.
- What you expected. Usually the mission's expected result.
- What happened. The exact error text, and a screenshot.
- Request id. Shown at the end of an error, as (request …). It lets us find the call.
- Version and system. Settings › About & Updates, and Windows, macOS or Linux.
Critical, worth $25, means it
- Loses work.
- Leaks data.
- Spends money it should not.
- Skips an approval.
Five rules, kept short.
- 01Test on things you can afford to lose: a test folder, a test repository, a throwaway account.
- 02Never paste a password, API key or recovery phrase into a report or a channel.
- 03One report per bug. Search #bug-reports first; if it is there, add what you saw to that thread.
- 04Credit is paid for confirmed reports and finished missions, once each, up to the monthly cap.
- 05Be kind. People here are testing an early product in their own time.
Asked often,
answered plainly.
