Payouts against the bank

Match a period's Stripe payouts against the bank feed line by line, and list what does not match -- a missing deposit, a duplicate charge, a fee that moved -- with the refund or fix left for a person.

What your agent will do.

Month end, or whenever a deposit looks short or a customer says they were charged twice.

  1. 01

Pull the period's payouts with their charges, refunds and fees, and the bank feed for the same dates plus five business days.

  2. 02

Match each payout to one deposit by amount and date. A payout with no deposit, or a deposit with no payout, is a finding.

  3. 03

Inside each payout, look for the same customer charged the same amount twice within a day, and for fees that differ from the usual rate.

  4. 04

Write a table: payout, deposit, difference, status. Total the matched and the unmatched.

  5. 05

Lead with what needs a person, each with the evidence and what you would do.

Read-only: refunds, disputes and retries wait for a person's yes. Not accounting or tax advice.
